Updates on the last week of 2008.

I guess its a while since i wrote anything here. Let me try to do some recall:

20th:
Kelvin opened his house (yet again) for Xmas celebration, but this time round it was potluck. I thought that potlucks were chaotic, but it turned out pretty ok. There was more than enough food for all. Thank God for His blessings that we have more than what we need. =)

Gift exchange was ok, nothing special. Just that i think that maybe my fondue set was the nicest gift amongst all. LOL. :P

In the end i sent all of the church friends back home with my pickup. Was supposed to only take 6 but ended up taking 9 passengers behind! :P

It had been a lazy workweek so far; i was supposed to work for 1.5 days this week but because there was some things to be checked overnight, i volunteered to stay overnight in Jln Bahar. My managers would do anything to stop me from working overnight because it would mean that i would be on off day tomorrow. But well there was data to be taken so i had to stay. I ended up going to lin lin's place to take a shower and forty winks before trudging my way back to work again at 2am. The whole thing eventually ended at 5am. XP

It had been such a lazy workweek. I think i'll need to get used to it again when i return to work next week. =/

Christmas eve was fun; attended the Christmas eve concert in church; the rain added sort of a festive mood to Christmas. This time round yukee and qiqi joined us too! The concert was quite ok, just that it was a surprise to see Loli conducting the choir again, as she was on mc with a sprained leg. Do pray for her recovery yeah. =/

At around 10pm, the CI gang came in for the usual Christmas gathering. Again there was sooo much food that everyone was stuffed to their throats. There was a spread; pizza, kfc, log cake, sparkling white wine; my daily scoop ice cream ended up in the fridge as they were too stuffed to continue. Hurrr.

We watched The Dark Knight on DVD; frankly i didn't like the ending because Batman ended up unneeded; it felt like Gotham City forsaked/ "killed" their hero. But it was also this show that i was so impressed with Heath Ledger's acting skills. It's a pity he has left this world... =/

Anyway, i digress, we played taboo for a record of 3 hours! Hahaha... and it was done through the night. In the end everyone felt like walking zombies. Hahaha! It's agonising when you throw card after card when you can't come up with what clues to give without the taboo word when your brain is supposed to be on sleep mode. LOL!

After that we went for breakfast at macs and split around 7am. And lin lin drove my pickup for the first time! Cool! =P

We woke up at around 11am the next day to exchange gifts. I got a timbuk2 pda holder, which i liked really much. Thanks lin lin! Sorry to make you broke. =/ After which, it was the annual Christmas gathering with the chua clan. Heh. Watched another good show, stay connected (保持通话). They said it was just another version of cellular but i think it was very nice; there were twists to the plot (when wong and her child was set free by the crooked cops and pang handed the dv cam over to the inspector, who would have expected him to be in cahoots with the crooked cops?) Thank goodness there was the good cop (played by cheung), hehe.

It was another stuff-the-tummy event with so much food that i really had to call it a day pretty early. LOL. The annual gift exhcange was amusing to see, everyone was so excited, Hehe...

Oh well, so much for my Christmas week! The year is coming to a close next week; have you made any resolutions yet? =)
