Belated V day entry. And i mean belated!

14th Feb marked the third year we spent Valentine's day with each other. =)

For this year, after getting PM figurines i really ran out of ideas of what to give. Hehe... so actually i was quite taken by surprise when Lin lin actually requested for a teddy bear. The first thing that ran through my mind was... teddy bear? But but but.. FD and Glenn just mentioned over morning express that teddy bears were the sort of things that girls find the least desirable eh. Hurr...

So i walked around TM in search of a good gift for lin lin. (Note: I did my shopping the other day already. I ordered something, but it was customary but could not be made known, so i added something extra. Just wrote this in case anyone thinks i bo xim, bought pressie only on the day itself. Wahaha :P)

Basically i was seriously contemplating whether i should just give up and get another figurine, but yet when lin lin told me she would like to have a hugglywuggly with her, i thought i should make the effort and thus decided to look for a teddy bear. But alas, there was no nice teddy bear in sight. (Or rather was it due to me being so last minute to decide to get a hugglywug that i couldn't find any nice bears.

That was when i saw wowo. xP

Wowo is a toy doggie from TY soft toys. The moment i saw it i decided i would buy it because it looks so adorable!

Wowo (its given name was sweetpea); and the bouquets (don't ask me why six. I really started wondering after i made the order too. Hurr.

Got lin lin a card too... with some special message on the cover. I've always loved these kinda sweet poems (even though some might think its insincere because you're not the one who wrote it.) But really... sometimes love is just like that. You can't find the exact words to wrote a nice poem to express your love, but when you come upon something that's nice, it hits a chord =)

So after collecting the gifts, i drove over to lin lin's house. Something happened at home so i think the atmosphere was abit not-so-good. So i stayed downstairs and wrote on the card until i hear the bell of the ice cream man.

So anyway, after hearing the bell, and desperately wanting to score brownie points, i stopped short of completing my V day card and went to buy ice cream for lin lin and her parents. (she would discover that after opening the card and reading, and she was fuming. LOL.)

So the gift exchange started after i passed them the ice cream. =)

So after the little symbolic gift exchange, we headed to my place for dinner.

Don't ask me why i suggested cooking. Cooking used to be part of what we did every weekend until i started working. Thus we had lesser chances of doing that. So to relive the times where we used to cook, i suggested cooking dinner at my place. My mum kindly allowed us to use the kitchen too! (She offered to, when she was so particular about others messing up her stove. LOL)

We managed to whip up a few good dishes in that hot and stuffy kitchen of our house. Nothing fancy, not even candles. But just something nice and yummy. And credit goes to lin lin for most of the stuff made. I was just either an extra hand, or a complete hindrance. LOL.

Foodie! Yum...

All in all, it was a great V day, the company, the things we did... the gifts we got for each other... it's all good.. Haha... Very xin fu wor. :P
